Ecclesiasticus 1:27
"For the feare of the Lord is wisdome, and instruction: and faith and meekenesse are his delight."
The fear of the lord is wisdom and instruction. Feaaring the lord, his judgement for sin, god etc. Is literally wisdom and instruction. No wise person would do otherwise.

Ecclesiasticus 1:28
"Distrust not the fear of the Lord when thou art poor: and come not unto him with a double heart."
You cannot serve 2 masters. [2] I think this verse is also talking about how when someone is poor, they tend to feel as if they are "exempt". A feeling we all sometimes may have, when something goes wrong, or when the elites oppress us. Sometimes we feel as if the lord is wrong, and that we should distrust even doing good and fearing the lord. Also like how someone may decide to turn to evil.

Ecclesiasticus 1:29
"Be not an hypocrite in the sight of men, and take good heed what thou speakest."
Practice what you preach.

Ecclesiasticus 2:5
"For gold is tried in the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of adversity."
Reminded of the story of Job. Also reminded me of when the three Hebrew men were thrown into a fiery furnace by Nebuchadnezzar II, King of Babylon. [2] This describes how all good natured men are tested.

Ecclesiasticus 3:21-3:26
"A stubborne heart shall fare euill at the last, and he that loueth danger shall perish therein."
Loving evil and danger is like digging your own grave with your love. Sometime we should keep on. Even things like daredevil rush activities.

Ecclesiasticus 4:22
"Accept no person against thy soul, and let not the reverence of any man cause thee to fall."
Reminds me not to be swayed by people against my will just because you "know them" or have higher respect for them. [2] Also, if you are really not feeling something, then do not accept it! This verse is against the twisting of the commonly used verse "lov thy neighboor". As if you should accept everyone and anything!

Ecclesiasticus 4:25
"In no wise speak against the truth; but be abashed of the error of thine ignorance."
When someone says something true that shocks you, if you feel discomforted, its best to be, instead of resisting or rejecting the truth because it was "too harsh".

Ecclesiasticus 1:5
"Set thy heart upon thy goods; and say not, I have enough for my life."
Do not take pride in comfort. Thats comfort in carnality, in flesh and material. [2] This is a bad thing because its almost as if you reject the true and real reward and life which is in the kingdom of heaven. As if its to agree with this world and satans goods

Ecclesiasticus 5:5-5:6
"Concerning propitiation, bee not without feare to adde sinne vnto sinne. 6 And say not, His mercy is great, hee will be pacified for the multitude of my sinnes: for mercy and wrath come from him, and his indignation resteth vpon sinners."
Lukewarmers always have some sort of vain image about god. Like they bathe in the feeling that they should not care about sin because "god is good". [2] This verse is agaist all of the 'faith by grace so i should continue to violate the commands in all unrightousness. Do not think this

Ecclesiasticus 6:10-6:12
"Againe some friend is a companion at the table, and will not continue in the day of thy affliction. But in thy prosperitie hee will be as thy selfe, and will be bould ouer thy seruants. If thou be brought low, he will be against thee, and will hide himselfe from thy face."
Just found it funny how an ancient verse can still till this day, accurately describe how fake friends and pretty much how everyone in this world, acts when your down.

Ecclesiastes 7:14
"Use not many words in a multitude of elders, and make not much babbling when thou prayest."
Self explanatory, should be taken personal.

Ecclesiastes 8:14
"Go not to law with a judge; for they will judge for him according to his honour."
Just reminded me how when we go to court we are up against people who live and breathe the law language. Like blood in a shark's tank. Like trying to do a citizens arrest on a police officer and taking that to court.

Ecclesiastes 9:7
"Look not round about thee in the streets of the city, neither wander thou in the solitary place thereof."
Dont wander around. Curiosity killed the cat.

Ecclesiastes 9:13
"Keep thee far from the man that hath power to kill; so shalt thou not doubt the fear of death: and if thou come unto him, make no fault, lest he take away thy life presently: remember that thou goest in the midst of snares, and that thou walkest upon the battlements of the city."
Stay sharp. Trust your instincts. [2] I think this is also the reality of this reality. The fact that we live in a world full of traps and its ment to be like that since the history of adam is true

Ecclesiasticus 10:4
"The power of the earth is in the hand of the Lord, and in due time he will set over it one that is profitable."
Reminded me of how in todays time certain entities can control weather, and stuff like chemistry. [2] Not saying this is the exact take, but meaning in the past they probably were rightous ones who healed with medicine, and made good creations with the power and knowledge of earth and the things it provides.

Ecclesiasticus 10:7
"Pride is hateful before God and man: and by both doth one commit iniquity."
Pride is really just the justification of hate towards others. You can find someone's hate by looking at what they take pride in. For ex: If a pie baker who says he makes the best tasting pies in the country, meets a guy whos pies taste better than his, he will likely not admit the other guys pies taste better than his pie (plus the other symptoms of hate), depending on how strong his pride is. This works for differnt things as well.

Ecclesiasticus 10:8
"Because of unrighteous dealings, injuries, and riches got by deceit, the kingdom is translated from one people to another."
People always ask why things are not the same anymore, and stay stuck in past glories. The whole earth is one. [2] And because of this unrightousness there is no physical society or kingdom that has passed the test of time. Let it be a testimony that unrightousness does not allow good things to prosper.

Ecclesiasticus 10:12
"The beginning of pride is when one departeth from God, and his heart is turned away from his Maker."
Something to keep note of. Self explanatory

Ecclesiasticus 11:4
"Boast not of thy clothing and raiment, and exalt not thyself in the day of honour: for the works of the Lord are wonderful, and his works among men are hidden."
Personal reminder. [2] Its also saying that even the best of all works is hidden. also how if you keep yourself low key in days of honor.

Ecclesiasticus 13:21-13:23
"A rich man beginning to fall is held up of his friends: but a poor man being down is thrust away by his friends."
Something we all can observe in modern times. The poor man is black sheep'ed and homeless QUICK. But then u see so many "recovery stories" of rich, celebrity druggie, gambling addicted, sex perverts that are praised for their newfound advice after recovery, maybe even on multiple platforms. Extreme example, but same idea. [2] The verse is self explanatory, but the idea is that a rich person is readily loved in ALL ways by the people. While the poor man is readily hated in ALL ways. Ive been around both examples, and the homeless and poor one never has any friends when hes down, vs the huge amounts of love the rich and popular man gets, even from strangers.

Ecclesiasticus 13:25
"The heart of a man changeth his countenance, whether it be for good or evil: and a merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance."
An evil person will look evil. Dont doubt basic insticts. Just like how you can tell a sad person when they are crying with tearss on their face. [2] Also, countenance is important. Masks are in for the unrightous so that people wont see the face that explains the feelings or true thoughts.

Ecclesiasticus 14:4
"He that gathereth by defrauding his own soul gathereth for others, that shall spend his goods riotously."
I think many can see this happening today. Aligns with the saying that money made quick is spent quick. And for people who are in those dealings, most of their money is given to their team (or other people, such as a wicked women, family etc.), who then spend it quick as well.

Ecclesiasticus 14:6-14:8
"There is none worse than he that envieth himself; and this is a recompence of his wickedness. And if he doth good, he doth it vnwillingly, and at the last he will declare his wickednesse. The envious man hath a wicked eye; he turneth away his face, and despiseth men."
One of the harder to understand verses. What i got so far from it ~ I thought these three verses were interesting in explaining how envy and even self sabotage can tie into what's considered an "evil eye". As in, you sometimes only see your world as being bad if you partake in wickedness yourself. In this case though, i think it translates well in saying its the feeling as if you do not have/do enough compared to. Reminds me of "keeping up with the Joneses" [2] Reminds me of rich (and the mentality) of who do not compare themselves or bring themselves to the level of to the poor, but also envy themselves and their things, always hungry and of desire for a better "thing". And when they do something good it is not out of intent to do good, but pure chance, as they are always occupied with their evil eye for men and the envy they have of their own positions. The chase always comes to an end.

Ecclesiasticus 14:10
"A wicked eye envieth his bread, and he is a niggard at his table."
He sees the good bread but wants more! Not after it is gone, but presently when it is still there. 'The envy of the bread leads the person to want to seize it for himself' mentality

Ecclesiasticus 15:14-15:15
"Hee himselfe made man from the beginning, and left him in the hand of his counsell, 15 If thou wilt, to keepe the Commandements, and to performe acceptable faithfulnesse."
Lord gave us free will. FaithfulNESS is a good thing as well. And should not be considered "Weak".

Ecclesiasticus 15:20
"He hath commanded no man to do wickedly, neither hath he given any man licence to sin."
Nobody has a license to do bad, nor is it justified by the havenly father for man to sin in any way. Not to say that we dont sin, just saying its no talk around justification. It is what it is.

Ecclesiasticus 16:3
"Trust not thou in their life, neither respect their multitude: for one that is just is better than a thousand; and better it is to die without children, than to have them that are ungodly."
Never understood why people love having kids in this world??? Or the wierd social cult that revolves around being a parent and having kids.

Ecclesiasticus 17:27
"Who shall praise the most High in the grave, instead of them which live and give thanks?"
True, maybe our only point to live is to do such. As it's all the better to trust someone before the glory than to act like a (fake friend). [2] And only with life are we to give repentace for sin by living out of it (actions)

Ecclesiasticus 17:30
"For all things cannot be in men, because the son of man is not immortal."
We think we are the pinnacle of all things good and the architects of life, but yet cannot even prevent death, nor sin.

Ecclesiasticus 18:19
"Learn before thou speak, and use physick or ever thou be sick."
Physick's old-definition means; nature or ayurvedic medicine. [2] This is NOT what medicine is today! Read my "datadump" under the user submissions page. I explain what medicine today REALLY is. It is NOT healthy or good for you.

Ecclesiasticus 18:27
"A wise man will fear in everything, and in the day of sinning he will beware of offence: but a fool will not observe time."
Something to think about. They do say time moves faster when your having "Fun".

Ecclesiasticus 18:28
"Every man of understanding knoweth wisdom, and will give praise unto him that found her."
I think this verse means that the one who realized wisdom is the most high. As it comes from him. And someone who is wise in all things will praise the most high, lest his wisdom turn into ignorace.

Ecclesiasticus 18:30
"Go not after thy lusts, but refrain thyself from thine appetites."
Food is not the only thing to fast from. A reminder to fast day to day, and to fast from bad choices.

Ecclesiasticus 18:32
"Take not pleasure in much good cheer, neither be tied to the expense thereof."
Reminds me of sadness/mourning touching the heart greater. (Ecclesiastes 7:2) Also the expense of good cheer. being tied to the costs of good cheer.

Ecclesiasticus 19:13-19:15
"13 Admonish a friend, it may be he hath not done it, and if he haue done it that he doe it no more. 14 Admonish thy friend, it may be he hath not said it, and if he haue, that he speake it not againe. 15 Admonish a friend: for many times it is a slander, & beleeue not euery tale."
Interesting that he says admonish a friend 3 times. An important thing to remember to do, as it is said; "even if your friend didnt do anything, if he did, he wouldn't do it anymore." The idea to be bold, and test spirits.

Ecclesiasticus 19:18
"The fear of the Lord is the first step to be accepted of him, and wisdom obtaineth his love."
I think fearing the lord is the prerequisite to everything of him, which is everything good. It's hard to be; prideful/reckless/without faith.etc if you DO fear the lord.

Ecclesiasticus 19:26
"There is a wicked man that hangeth down his head sadly; but inwardly he is full of deceit,"
Reminds me of the false people that always talk about poverty and such bad situations, and pretend to mourn. Yet, u see them on dumb sprees or notice them just way too cheerful(fake) the same hour. Worst part - they don't say what they really know, or do what they really want to do. Wolf in sheep's clothing, someone who acts like they care yet do not.

Ecclesiasticus 19:29
"A man may be known by his look, and one that hath understanding by his countenance, when thou meetest him."
Another saying relating who you really are inside, to how your face looks. If i find out traits about how someone with understanding may look like, I will update. Def not someone like Stephen Hawking or Einstien though. They look dumb. [2] I think this also means that you can understand if someone is really messing with you based on the way his face looks at the time. I know, i can tell if someone is prideful/ignorant or if someone is truly mentally a truthseeker by just the way they answer questions and the mannerisms of how their face.

Ecclesiasticus 20:3
"How good is it, when thou art reproved, to shew repentance! for so shalt thou escape wilful sin."
When a rebuke comes to your actions. Repent

Ecclesiasticus 20:4
"As is the lust of an eunuch to deflower a virgin; so is he that executeth judgment with violence."
Judgement with violence. In most cases a lust.

Ecclesiasticus 20:22
"There is that destroyeth his own soul through bashfulness, and by accepting of persons overthroweth himself."
Something I had to work on, which is not to be shy or accepting to "authority" who were really just trying to overthrow my being. This behavior destroys who you are inside if allowed.

Ecclesiasticus 20:29
"Presents and gifts blind the eyes of the wise, and stop up his mouth that he cannot reprove.”
Explains why I dislike birthdays or annual celebrations where i'm forced to give or receive. Makes you feel like you owe it to them to be nice, or to overlook the nonsense they may bring to the table.

Ecclesiasticus 20:31
"Better is he that hideth his folly than a man that hideth his wisdom."
Self expanatory

Ecclesiasticus 21:15
"If a skilful man hear a wise word, he will commend it, and add unto it: but as soon as one of no understanding heareth it, it displeaseth him, and he casteth it behind his back."
Someone who is interested will add to your coversation in a good way.

Ecclesiasticus 22:3
"An evilnurtured man is the dishonour of his father that begat him: and a foolish daughter is born to his loss."
Reminds me how everyone is having daughters. Or the joke about people not wanting a daughter because they're afraid she will turn into a ?

Ecclesiasticus 22:10
"But children, being haughty, through disdain and want of nurture do stain the nobility of their kindred."
Reminds me of a personal matter of how kids are raised to desire nurture(simping) etc., to be too snobbish or stuck up, or to lack general respect. If you have siblings you know how any of these attitudes can be karma'd right back to you. You might not be your brother or your sister, but people will lump you in and consider their traits, yours too.

Ecclesiasticus 25:13-25:19
"Giue mee any plague, but the plague of the heart: and any wickednesse, but the wickednesse of a woman. And any affliction, but the affliction from them that hate me: and any reuenge, but the reuenge of enemies. There is no head aboue the head of a serpent, and there is no wrath aboue the wrath of an enemie. I had rather dwell with a lyon and a dragon, then to keepe house with a wicked woman. The wickednesse of a woman changeth her face, and darkeneth her countenance like sackecloth. Her husband shall sit among his neighbours: and when hee heareth it, shall sigh bitterly."
Another saying that explains a wickedness.

Ecclesiasticus 26:25
"A shameless woman shall be counted as a dog; but she that is shamefaced will fear the Lord."
Reminded me of the "bitch" word. The roots of the B word has biblical/ancient roots too. Go figure

Ecclesiasticus 29:4-29:9
"Many when a thing was lent them, reckoned it to be found, and put them to trouble that helped them. Till he hath receiued, he will kisse a mans hand: and for his neighbours money he will speake submissely: but when he should repay, he will prolong the time, and returne words of griefe, and complaine of the time."
Talks about a common situation that occurs when someone begs u for a something and acts like they will pay you back, so u give them what they asked for, but then they delay and lie as much as possible to avoid paying you back what THEY said they will. Yet, even though we know how these type of people act, we should still be patient and quick to help the poor and the needy. Tangent - Were not perfect and im sure we once did something similar, but to the lord on a different level.

Ecclesiasticus 30:20
"He seeth with his eyes and groaneth, as an eunuch that embraceth a virgin and sigheth."
More common "eunuch" verses .

Ecclesiasticus 19:32
"Do nothing without advice; and when thou hast once done, repent not."
Another example of not doing anything unless you have some sort of counsel.

Ecclesiasticus 24:38
"The wisdom of a learned man cometh by opportunity of leisure: and he that hath little business shall become wise."
Reminded me of the *opular trope we see with the monk that just stands in once place and becomes enlightened, compared to the mass who work, work, and work all day but are extremely unwise because they as no time to learn!

Ecclesiasticus 40:6-40:8
"A litle or nothing is his rest, and afterward he is in his sleepe, as in a day of keeping watch, troubled in the vision of his heart, as if he were escaped out of a battell: When all is safe, he awaketh, and marueileth that the feare was nothing. Such things happen vnto all flesh, both man and beast, and that is seuen fold more vpon sinners."
Interesting how he explains how we feel when we go to sleep. Life, in comparison to life and sleep, does feel like you just escaped a battle. Like, you only realize the anxiety of life before/after you sleep. Then you have the dreams. Aso then how the anxiety is worst for someone who is constantly in sin, which makes sense.

Ecclesiasticus 41:3
"Fear not the sentence of death, remember them that have been before thee, and that come after; for this is the sentence of the Lord over all flesh."
I like the word "sentence" he used here. Reminds me of the idea that we are slaves to our body, or how the soul is temporarily "locked" in our bodies.

Ecclesiasticus 42:14
"Better is the churlishness of a man than a courteous woman, a woman, I say, which bringeth shame and reproach."
I found this verse amazing how they can describe the suspicious feeling i get when women act super polite and plastic. Too friendly. promiscuity

Ecclesiasticus 43:1
"The pride of the height, the clear firmament, the beauty of heaven, with his glorious shew;"
Another example of the firmament stated in the bible, and also said to be clear.. Water inherently reflects a blue tint, and i think thats why the sky is never not blue. Even at night it's never blackhole black, but infact has a very dark navy blue tint.

Ecclesiasticus 43:7
"From the moon is the sign of feasts, a light that decreaseth in her perfection."
Interesting how he said a light that decreases in her perfection....Maybe there's something more to the meaning "new moon". Like, how a new moon is when the moon is covered yet really the new moon is supposed to be when its full, as it started off full.
